Description- Chromium carbide composite cladding fusion bonded to a mild steel backing material.
- The deposit has been realized by means of oscillated welding and a wear resistant coating applied by submerged arc welding.
- Fine cracks perpendicular to the welding bead is normal due to natural stress relieving in a very hard matrix.
- Very high volume of chromium carbides evenly distributed throughout the uniform thickness of the deposit.
- Plate hardness ranges from HRC58-65.
- Suitable for applications involving high abrasion and low to medium impact.

Chemical composition: ECI wear-resistant composite steel plate is one or more layers of wear-resistant alloy containing a large amount of chromium carbide hard particles deposited on the low-carbon steel backing plate.
Micro structure: The volume fraction of Cr7C3 carbide in the metallographic structure of the wear-resistant layer reaches more than 50%.
Hardness: Depending on the thickness of the wear-resistant layer and the application, the surface hardness of the wear-resistant alloy can be up to HRC56-65, and the micro hardness of chromium carbide is up to HV1800. Wear resistance: The laboratory results show that the wear life of the ECI wear-resistant composite steel plate is 20 times loge than carbon steel and 8 times that of heat-treated wear-resistant steel. ASTM-G65A dry sand wear test surface wear and 75 deep wear test The data shows a high wear resistance.
Flatness : Product flatness is controlled within ± 3mm / m.
Thickness : The thickness of the wear-resistant layer is uniform, the thickness tolerance is 0 + 0.5mm. |
